Lo scopo del progetto è costituito da uno stadio di calcio situato a Ras Abu Aboud, Doha, in Qatar. Il settimo stadio del Qatar per la Coppa del Mondo 2022 sarà trasformato in un nuovo “quartiere urbano” che si affaccia sulla West Bay dopo il torneo. Lo stadio porterà il concetto di “design per legacy”.
Lo stadio si estende su un sito di 450.000 metri quadrati comprende 6000 posti auto durante il torneo e 2000 in modalità legacy, sarà utilizzato per i tornei di gruppo e i quarti di finale.
Ridurre al minimo i costi di costruzione e assicurare un uso futuro regolare sono gli ingredienti chiave per rendere sostenibile un nuovo stadio. Ras Abu Aboud creerà un progetto innovativo che molti altri seguiranno.

The project’s scope of work consists of a football stadium located at Ras Abu Aboud, Doha, Qatar. Qatar’s seventh stadium for the 2022 World Cup will be redeveloped into a new “urban neighbourhood” looking out toward West Bay after the tournament. The stadium will bring the ‘design for legacy’ concept.
Spreading over a 450,000 square metres (sq.m) site includes 6000 car parking spaces during the tournament and 2000 in legacy mode, will be used for tournament group games and the quarter finals.
Minimising construction costs and ensuring regular future use are the key ingredients in making a new stadium. Ras Abu Aboud Stadium will create an innovative blueprint that many others will follow.
